About Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz traces its heritage to Karl Benz's 1886 Patent Motorwagen, widely regarded as the first practical petrol car, and to Gottlieb Daimler's engine work of the same era. The Mercedes name came from a Daimler car of 1901, and the two companies merged in 1926 to form Daimler-Benz, creating the Mercedes-Benz brand. The three-pointed star, adopted by Daimler in 1909, symbolised the company's ambition to power transport on land, at sea and in the air.
Through the twentieth century Mercedes-Benz became known for comfort, safety engineering and models such as the S-Class and E-Class, as well as performance cars from its AMG division. Today the range runs from the CLA and GLA to large luxury saloons, SUVs and the G-Class. Its electric line-up includes the latest CLA, the GLC with EQ Technology and EQ-badged models, alongside petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid versions. The brand is also known for introducing safety features such as crumple zones and anti-lock brakes to mass production, and it remains a fixture of UK executive and fleet car lists.
Mercedes-Benz on a car subscription
Mercedes-Benz suits drivers who want a luxury car on a short, flexible contract, perhaps for a change of circumstances or to see whether a larger model works for them. Electric versions are a low-risk way to try EV ownership and can carry low Benefit-in-Kind tax for company car users. Check the insurance excess and age requirements for AMG models, the monthly mileage allowance, and the real-world range of electric models on motorway journeys.

Mercedes-Benz subscriptions: FAQs
Can I get a Mercedes-Benz on a car subscription in the UK?
Yes. Mercedes-Benz models are regularly listed by UK subscription and short-lease providers. Availability, trims and lead times vary, so compare what is currently on offer.
Which electric Mercedes-Benz models can I subscribe to?
Providers may list the electric CLA, GLC with EQ Technology or EQ models such as the EQA and EQB. Stock changes regularly and the newest models may not be offered straight away.
Do Mercedes-AMG models cost more to insure on subscription?
Usually the insurance group is higher for AMG models, so providers may ask for a larger deposit, an older minimum driver age or a higher excess. Read the insurance terms before signing.
