About Peugeot
The Peugeot family business dates back to 1810, when it began producing steel goods, tools and later bicycles in eastern France. Its first steam-powered vehicle appeared in 1889 and petrol cars followed soon after, making Peugeot one of the oldest car brands still in production. The lion emblem has been used since the mid-nineteenth century. The brand has also won the Dakar Rally and the Le Mans 24 Hours several times.
Peugeot took over Citroën in 1976 to form PSA, which bought Vauxhall and Opel in 2017 and merged with Fiat Chrysler in 2021 to create Stellantis. Known for models such as the 205 and 306, Peugeot today offers the 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 408 and 5008, with most available in electric form. The E-208, E-2008 and E-3008 are among its most popular EVs in the UK. Its interiors are known for the i-Cockpit layout, which pairs a small steering wheel with a raised digital instrument display.
